Abstract
Background: Breast conserving surgery and radiotherapy are the main treatment for early breast cancer. Adjuvant radiotherapy decreases the risk of local recurrence. There is sparse information on the rate of local recurrence for early breast cancer but studies have shown recurrence between 11-20%. The aim of this research was to ascertain the rate of recurrence of invasive breast cancer in our un it post breast-conserving surgery.
